I was watching a rented DVD last night and it happened again...the movie suddenly freezes up!  Argg, I hate when this happens.  What do you usually do...take it out and wipe it down, right?  Well I saw this new book called Joey Green's FIX UP and check out these cleaning tips...crazy but true:

To clean scuffs off DVD's...use peanut butter...smooth of course...a little dab then wipe it off with a coffee filter...chap stick apparently works too!

Use Ketchup to clean copper bottom pots, just leave it on for 10 min's and the gunk comes off!

If you spill candle wax on fabric...use of sheet of paper towel...iron the paper towel which will absorb the wax...then wash the fabric!

Do you have any wacky house-hold cleaning tips??

Peanut Butter is also great for getting anything sticky off of something. For example when there is a price sticker on something, it leaves a sticky mess. Put peanut butter on it for a few minutes and it will rub off with no problem

Hey, I know a way to get rid of scratches on a cd or DVD. Use toothpaste. just rub *Colgate* toothpaste all over the cd, so it's covered. Then wash off the toothpaste in cold water then dry it with a Soft towel. The scratch will still be there but it will work! I know it's amazing! Funny story: My Friend and I were walking down to the beach and we saw a cd in the ditch. So we picked it up and brought it back to the cottage with us. It was soooooo scratched! You couldn't see the CD just scratches. So I was washing it with toothpaste and my freind was like "What are you doing?, that's gunna wreck it!" I was like "I'ts already wrecked! and no, it cleans it." so anyway after I cleaned it we brought to the CD player and put it in. it worked like a charm! but the i lost the cd! :( Yipperzx. Kat*
